How can I connect my nintendo wii and laptop at the same time?

I’m having trouble connecting my nintendo wii and laptop at the same time using my wireless router. I reboot my router and then I can connect with one of the devices, but then the other one can’t connect and vice versa. I have the latest firmware installed for the version 4 BEFW11S4 router. How can I make it so both my Wii and laptop can be connected at the same time?

You may have to reset your router to the factory default settings. This will reopen your network for anyone to use, so ensure to set the WEP or WPA security settings again. Read your manual on how to do the above 2 things, then reconnect your laptop first. Then connect your Wii (enter your security passkey). If this still causes the same problem, there is something wrong with your router.

You can by a cheap wireless router online for $30 on sale:

    Good luck!

Most routers have a setting allowing you to clone the MAC address of the first thing you had hooked up to it. (either the laptop or the wii) Most of the time your isp will only allow one MAC address per account. Once you clone the MAC address of the item that is working the other should work with no problem.
