The games that we will be able to play on the Nintendo video wii have been boosted by the anticipated features of the “Virtual Console” which is the download service which Nintendo will allow players to download games of the wii console.

Being able to use this virtual console service will allow players of the wii to download many of the games produced for Nintendo’s previous machines like the SNE and even N64. All this will be made available for a reduced price. The best part of this service by Nintendo is that console games of the wii Nintendo will be made available for free for certain games of y ester year. Not only this but you will also have available wii download console games which were made for consoles like the Sega and the Turbofrafx. These console go back over ten years so the plethora of games that will be available sounds very exiting indeed.

Being retro the game play of these download wii games will not be of the standard of todays more technological advanced games. However the speed and graphics are to be of a higher standard, with better speed of frames and nicer graphics. Another additional advantage of having the feature of wii downloaded games on line means that you can access games that may have not been released in the region or country you are in. Also these retro games will also have some additional features like multi player.

The Virtual Control service is not going to be only limited to games of the past but will also probably be used to release new games that can be downloaded on line. The advantage of having download games for the wii is the fact that the cost will be kept down so that more can be released. This actually almost sounds like there could be a resurgence of the game freeware era of the PC and Amiga that produced great original games for little or no cost. I for one will be very interested in the development of the virtual control service and the many wii download games that it will make available.

Does anyone know of any good wii games?? i have Metroid, Galaxy, Tomb raider anniversary, wii(fit, play, sports) Guitar hero, Rock band, Resident evil 4, rival swords, Simpsons, brawl, house of the dead 23, and mario kart. it sucks because it seems like i already have all the good ones. So any recomendations would be useful.

I always loved Super Mario Brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog before they went 3-D. I just got a Wii, any games you can recommend that I might like? I have the super popular Zelda Wii game but its concept is somewhat more than I feel like dealing with when playing video games… .

Wii Fit Review

I’m not that into video games unless they involve me actually doing something other than pressing buttons with my thumbs. I love Rock Band because I can sing and play the drums (on a semi realistic drum kit.) And I love Wii Fit because it actually makes exercising fun. No seriously, it does!

With Wii Fit you can create a character (and you will be weighed on the “balance board”) and that character will be based on your real height and weight. As you do activities your progress will be recorded.

What are the activities? Well there are many to choose from. Everything from running to yoga. There are activities aimed at burning calories and activities aimed at strengthening your body and improving your balance. Certainly you will find some activities to be more enjoyable than others but the good thing is there are many to choose from so you will surely find some that you enjoy (and which of course also improve your fitness.)

One of the cool things about buying the Wii Fit is that it comes with a “balance board” which can also be used with many other very cool Wii games that are now coming out. Most of the other Wii games that use the balance board don’t actually include it. You must buy the Wii Fit in order to get this balance board. So even if for some reason this game doesn’t click with you (and I think it will) you will still get a valuable piece of equipment that comes with it and can be used with other games.

Again, I’m not a huge video game fan. This is not a standard video game. It’s something that can appeal to people of all ages. And it’s the rare video game that isn’t a waste of your time. In fact I encourage you to “play” your Wii Fit as much as you can every day! Not only will you have a good time, you will also improve your fitness.
